I listened to The Social Geeks podcast for the first time today (episode 6). After years of listening to tech related podcast, I figured there was no topic, no jargon, no geek-speak too complex for me to grab hold of. But when you guys started trading RSS feed techniques with nano/micro blog feed manipulation, my head started to spin....ha ha! I had no ideal that you could cross-pollinate feeds to the extent that you guys have...yikes! Last year I too wrestled with the issues of posting to several social networks simultaneously. I never figured it out and eventually gave up on joining and attempting to managing every social network that entered into the blogsphere.

I decided to only stick with social networks that I truly enjoyed using like Pownce, Twitter, flickr, UpComing, Last.fm, Digg, JpegMAG and 1 or 2 others. I just recently resurrected my FriendFeed account and dumped all of my RSS feeds from all of these sites into it. I'm going to link my FriendFeed's master RSS feed to my blog and that's "the last stop on the line" for all of my social networking stuff. So if my friends what to see it all...they can see it on my blog.

As far as posting, I'm finding myself switching between HelloTxT, Posty, or ScribeFire all of which will post to multiple nano/micro blogs. I need to choose one and stick with it, eh? And just for the record, 3 years ago I dumped MovableType for WordPress because of too much comment spam. Then dumped WordPress 4 months ago because I got tired of updating to the newest version of WordPress every other month. I also dumped Twitter last year for Pownce (Pro Member) only to fall back in love with Twitter this year and abandon Pownce. Am I all mixed up or what? Anyway, I totally enjoyed the show and I'm looking forward to the next one.

    Thanks

I caught a twitter post by Corvida and followed the provided link to your podcast. I first stumbled across Corvida while browsing through video's over at QIK.com. She "shoots from the hip" with her comments on social networking/media, and seems to in tune with whats NEW on the web.
